Villa Breidablikk is a grand residence set in parkland and it is surrounded by lawns and large trees from temperate climes.
The twostorey building has steep hipped slate roofs with round topped dormers. The focal point on the north side is the main entrance and similarly on the south side the door to the garden where symmetry is the overruling principle. To the east the building has a part covered passage connecting to an outbuilding and to the west there is a glazed passage to a hexagonal garden room. The external cladding is brown with windows, doors and their elaborate surrounds in white as are the soffits, cornices, corners, boxed in log ends and the sill at the bottom of the walls. Villa Breidablikk is a typical example of architecture from the period between 1910 and 1920. At the time this style was regarded as national romanticism, but it had particularly in the exterior elements of historisism's baroque revival and the interior has elements of jugend (Northern European art nouveau).
