"Byparken i Mosjøen" (6 of 7)
Description
Designed by the landscape architect Tor Nilssen the northeastern corner of the park is also referred to as the "2000 park" as its elements were typical of Norwegian parks during the very first part of the 21st century. Its focus is on younger children - with steel playground equipment and a large shallow water feature. The paths are made of tarmac with granite sett edging. The planting plan for this part of the park introduced new trees and shrubs whilst it kept the old lilacs along the perimeter. This section of the park is the only one where there are noticeable different ground levels and this has been modulated into low mounds partly covered with plants.
