Description

In the Nineteenth century, public parks became common in Europe. Leisure, recreation, entertainment and education were important. As the industrialisation often lead to dark and modest living arrangements for the workers, parks were an important part of improving the working class’ conditions. Mosjøen Town Park, also called The School Park, Mosjøen Park and The Park, can be seen as part of the Nineteenth century blossoming of parks. It is located in an old and sentral part of Mosjøen. Shortly after Mosjøen was recognized as a city, in 1875, a park south of the school was planned.
