Eidebakken skole (Eidebakken School)
Description
Skolevegen 29, 9060 Lyngseidet
Eidebakken School is located on a plain high above the Lyngseidet town centre, independent from any other buildings. It is situated on the eastern side of a narrow strip of land that connects the island Lyngenhalvøya to the mainland. From the schoolyard there is an east facing view of the town and the fjord Lyngenfjorden. The surrounding area has nice outdoor areas, with a track and field located in front of the school and a birch wooded forest right behind the school. The school building itself was constructed at different stages, the oldest part is from the 1950-60s, while the newest section was built during the beginning of the 1980s.
