Barduhallen (Barduhallen Leisure Centre)
Description
9365 Setermoen
Barduhallen Leisure Centre is located on a flat pine covered moraine in the northern, mainly residential, outskirts of the village Setermoen. Just 150m off the E6 main road, the simple low horizontal parts of the building contrasts with the verticality of the natural pine trees among which it is seen from all angles.
The large sports hall and the swimming pool are connected, and part surrounded, by a lower building mass where the main entrance and other functions can be found. The main hall has the shape of a white "box". The swimming pool's walls have large glazed areas and the cross section of its roof is in the shape of a convex lens. During the dark winter months light floods out under the "floating" roof.
