The two terrace houses are located on the west-side of Tromsø Island. Near one of the town's largest outdoor areas which extends along the length of the island at the highest point. Situated in a sloping terrain, the buildings have a striking view that overlooks the Sandnes Sound and the island Kvaløya. Due to the fact that it is well-exposed, the site has a significant amount of light during the time of the year there is light, especially during the summer months. Residential buildings built after 1960 characterise the surrounding area. Trees and the remaining vegetation around the buildings provide protection from the weather and reduce dust from the nearby street, while at the same time creating a boundary.
