"Lundenes gård" (2 of 4)
Description
The facade facing the sea features two portals with doors in a herringbone pattern, simple framing, and transom windows. The small-paned windows with central mullions (Rococo-style windows) have simple framing and are shorter on the second floor than on the first.
The oldest part of the building was constructed in 1770, and the western extension was added in 1824. The oldest section was built by Hans Andreas Pedersen, who came from Hundstad in Kvæfjord and married Ane, the daughter of the Lundenes farm. Their son Arne added the western section in 1824. The same family lived on the farm as long as it was in operation. The family made their living from farming and fishing.
