Description

The corners of the building are framed with a column motif, resembling double pilasters with a base on the parapet panel and a capital at the top that supports the roof cornice. The wall plane is divided into two sections. There is a parapet on the ground storey with horizontal level panelling. While the wall plane, however, has vertical lath panelling. The lath panelling provides nice contrast by creating shadows that change throughout the day depending on the sunshine. Standing in contrast to one another, the parapet and the lath panelling illustrate the proportions of the building.

The windows are symmetrically arranged on the wall plane and are attached to the parapet and roof cornice. On the ground storey, the windows have shutters. This increases the surface area of the windows on the façade and is a sign of prosperity.
