"Saltdal kirke" (5 of 7)
Description
The pulpit stands against the choir wall, with access from the sacristy situated in the corner between the nave and the choir. The pulpit is octagonal, “growing up from” an octagonal column that stands on the floor. It is finely wrought and decorated with blank arch friezes, rambling roses and stylized leafy tendrils. These are decorative elements that were much used in neo-Gothic architecture in the latter half of the nineteenth century.
