The boathouse was rebuilt in 1932 after the original together with 18 smaller boats had been damaged in a ferocious storm. Most of the materials in the new timber frame boathouse were recycled among them old boat planks. It has a central space and two lean-tos with a total footprint of 115m2. The loft that was originally used for storage and sometimes sleeping area has been converted into a garage connected to the main road by a simple bridge.
