The building has fine empire-style details such as the door and window surrounds and the horizontal cladding. The cross windows' lower casements have two windowpanes each which was a common feature for larger empire-style buildings. The window heads' consoles are decorated with diamond shapes and tassels. This is a detail often found on embellished houses in Trondheim and northwards along the coast of northern Norway during the first half of the 19th century.
