Description

The sanctuary room is a functional room and changes depending on the needs of the parish. In the Dolstad Church the interior, as it appears today, is a combination of 18th century and late 19th century, with adaptations for current day. In terms of colours the room can be traced back to the last half of the 18th century. During the restoration in 1975-76 the pews from 1899 were replaced with pews that were modelled after the 18th century type, but modified. Part of the old pews from the 18th century were installed in the parapet wall in the choir
they can be vaguely seen in the photograph of the choir.

Four marbled wooden columns mark the junction between the two axes and support the large ridge turret. Between the columns hangs a votive ship model.
