"Berlevåg kirke" (4 of 7)
Description
The nave of the church is simple in its design with few, but effective, decorative elements. Traditional wooden benches painted in red, blue and gold, together with the pulpit under the choir arch, dominate the interior. The white-painted walls are crowned by characteristic barrel vaulting in three parts, which at the intersection between the wall and the vaulting have a horizontal section divided up into square sections. The same square sections are also to be seen in the flat ceiling above the choir.
