Description

The estate Rossgården was built during the last part of the 19th century. It is a small residence with many features characteristic of the Swiss style. It has a cross plan design, meaning there are four rooms situated around a central chimney. This type of plan solution was growing more and more common around the turn of the 20th century. The house is one-and-a-half-storied, and has a steep saddle roof with a pointed central dormer facing towards the sea. The roof is covered with slate. On the exterior, the house is panelled with staff panelling. During the 19th century, this type of panelling was produced at sawmills that had started to emerge. An annex on the backside of the building was later added.
