The Athletic Centre arises from a massive concrete pedestal. Above the pedestal, the building is constructed of prefabricated modules which were assembled on-site. Towards the north and the south the façades have an open character and are primarily made of glass. However towards the east and the west the façades have a more closed quality, the wall planes are sectioned with a large, massive slab, which nearly lies on the outside of the actual wall plan. The large lean-to roof projects outwards towards the east and the west. The roof has a dynamic and sculptural form.
