"Nordre Tollbodgate – Skansen til Skippergata" (3 of 5)
Description
The house at number 3 Nordre Tollbodgate was moved here in 1987 from Storgata 122 where it was first built in 1840. The two-storey house has a pitched roof with pantiles and a central gabled wall dormer. Originally the house had just one passageway with a room above through to the back yard, but another one has been added at the house's western end. The walls are clad with ochre wooden vertical board. The windows have two casements each with three panes as was typical in the empire-style era. The ground floor has a double door each with three panels of which the top one is glazed. The door and window heads are supported by consoles decorated with diamond shapes. The window frames are painted white with green surrounds.
