"Nordland Kultursenter" (3 of 5)
Description
The large windows are typical of the Swiss chalet style, here, with three tall vertical casements and a single horizontal one above the transom. The window surrounds are elegantly moulded with carved consoles and latticework as part of the window head. On the south facade there are seven windows on the first floor and three on each side of the ground floor glass porch.
The large pitched slate roof has two small dormers on the northern side, and the two original dormers on the south side have been replaced by roof windows. The building also had a lattice work board running along the ridge of the roof but this was blown away by a storm, and the intention is that it will be replaced.
