"Nedre Misvær / Nerigårn" (2 of 9)
Description
Four of the surviving old buildings date from the 18th century when Joen Olssøn was at the helm. As well as managing the farm and fishing, he had a license to run an inn and sell goods to local farmers. According to tradition his wealth was founded on trade with the Sami population. His house was larger and better equipped than most other houses in Misvær at the time.
