Joen Olssøn's house is a two storey log house. It got its current size in1775 when he was licensed as an inn and general store keeper. The house has a living room, a pantry, a bedchamber, and an entrance lobby as well as the general store on the ground floor, and all but the lobby have another storey above. The shop has a separate entrance from the courtyard at the northern end of the building.
