Holmboe-hytta (The Holmboe Cabin)
Description
Langvannet, 9050 Storsteinnes
The Trangen complex is idyllically located on a cape by Langvannet in Inner Troms. Several log buildings are arranged around a courtyard, surrounded by sparse pine forest. The oldest main cabin has a 45m2 base area and contains a fireplace room, kitchen, and chamber. It features bare dark timber walls, small-pane windows with painted shutters, and a turf roof. It was built in a national style common for leisure houses around 1920.
Several smaller buildings were constructed in the 1920s and 1930s: a two-room guest house, a storehouse, a woodshed, and an outhouse. The main cabin was later expanded, and the added parts were designed with respect for the old unit.
