Description

Kåfjorddalen
The Sabetjohk Bridge is situated an approximately 5 km walk from the southern end of the public road, fylkesvei 333, in the valley Kåfjorddalen. The pedestrian bridge has been slung across the 150 m deep Gorsa canyon where the waterfalls plunge into the deep. (It's the deepest gorge in Northern Europe.) The light and elegant construction contrasts the drama of the torn landscape. The aluminium truss bridge has a trapezoid section with the walkway on the narrow bottom of the trapezoid and is strong enough to carry a lot of people. Half way across is a bungee jumping platform on the outer side of the handrail.
