Description

Strandgata 19, Harstad
The large Swiss-style house was built in Strandgata in 1894 as the town apothecary premises. The building has a rectangular layout and stands on a low foundation wall. It is two and a half storeys high and has a steep gable roof. The exterior façade is clad with horizontal panelling at ground floor level and with vertical panelling over the upper storeys. The windows have T-posts and cross-posts and decorated window frames. The old apothecary premises are painted in the most usual colours for the Swiss style - the house itself is a light colour with details picked out in a darker colour.
