Torsken Church and the churchyard have a central position in the village of Torsken which is situated on the north side of the fjord Torskenfjorden on the west side of the island Senja. The red church is cruciform and has log walls with pitched slate roofs and an octagonal turret at the west end. To the east, behind the chancel, is the sacristy. The main entrance is to the west through a small vestibule. The external walls have red horizontal wooden cladding with corners and bargeboards painted ochre. The windows typically have two casements and small window panes. The church's plinth is made of hewn stone.
