"Paulsengården" (2 of 5)
Description
In the large protruding central gable facing the sea, there is an open veranda on the ground floor and a built-in room with two windows on the first floor. The house has fine and richly carved carpentry details in the gable triangle, window framing, floor cornice, spires, and ridge crest. The floor division is marked with a wide profiled trim. There is horizontal board cladding on the ground floor and vertical on the first floor. Swiss-style houses were typically painted in three colors, as in this house. The lightest color is on the wall, then structural details and framing in a darker color, and the windows in a third color.
