The small schoolhouse was moved to the museum from Nerli farm in Midtli school district. It was erected of logged timber with a gable roof covered with birch bark and turf in 1895, while the porch was added later. The schoolhouse was used as a residence for a period. From 2004-2007, the friends' association of Bardu Rural Museum conducted extensive and necessary restoration work. The schoolhouse then received a new foundation and new sill logs.
