Description
The cabin is named after the French geographer, glaciologist and mountaineer Charles Rabot (1846-1944). During the 1880s he explored the mountains in Hemnes and Rana, and one of the Okstindbreen’s northeastern cirques is named after him. He is also one of the first persons recorded to have climbed Northern Norway’s highest mountain Oksskolten in 1883.
