Description

The public art project at the base is named “Àrvakr” which means “the early awake one”. It has been integrated into the architecture of the main entrance area. The walls and ceiling have triangular sandblasted aluminium cladding with crisscrossing lines referencing maps, borders, advanced technology and vigilance. What the viewer sees, changes both according to one’s position and light conditions. The installation was created by Rasmus Brinch who studied at Bergen Academy of Art and Design.
