"Steigen bygdetun" (7 of 7)
Description
The flower garden is situated just inside the museum wall and consists of flowerbeds surrounded by winding sand and crushed seashell paths. The plants have been collected from old gardens in the Steigen area and it is very likely that they have come from the vicarage's garden. It was common that youngsters, while preparing for their confirmation, would help with the gardening at the vicarage and were rewarded with plants to take home.
