"Sortland rådhus" (2 of 3)
Description
Sortland Town Hall has three different kinds of roofs: "Sentralblooka" has a flat roof with inward leaning copper clad parapet walls with a curved lower end. The northern office wing has a hipped slate roof. The remaining roofs are pitched slate roofs.
The elevations predominantly have a frame emphasis with generous sized windows contrasted to solid walls with few openings. The light coloured concrete construction, the teak window frames and the blueish green enameled panels are repeated consistently throughout the complex. Solid walls on the lower ground floor level are rendered in a check pattern in grey tones.
