Hamningberg has log houses from different periods and of different sizes. These four all have horizontal wooden cladding and empire-style windows with just a mullion or a crossing mullion and transom. The fishermen's cottages often had just one full storey and sleeping spaces in the attic, in some cases with a dormer or roof window. The two storey house was also the home of the telephone exchange, an essential function in the old fishing village.
