The buildings at Jacobsbakken are stunningly situated and clustered along a street that follows a stream and pond (called Vaffelkatjønna). The street emphasises both the buildings and a sense of community, which stands in contrast to the surrounding mountain plateau. This photograph was taken facing south. On the left side of the road (in the middle) lies the building "Kabelvåg", which is flanked by a four-flat residence on each side. Each flat had a separate entrance as well as two rooms and a kitchen. There was a toilet and laundry room located in the basement along with a storage room.
