Description
In the church there are several remains from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. These were transferred from the old church on Saltnes, which had been built in 1656. They include the oldest altar panel, which now hangs on the northern long wall, painted by the famous panel artist Gottfried Ezekiel, who painted many altar panels in Northern Norway during the eighteenth century.
