"Kjelvik husmannsplass" (5 of 5)
Description
The outbuilding is a barn constructed of stones from the nearby area, with a hayloft above - built using post and beam construction. The hayloft has a horse accessible arrival area on the upper side. In the barn at Kjelvik there were typically four cows, a few sheep, a couple of goats and one horse. The animal feed was taken from the cleared fields in the surrounding area and from hayfields in the wilderness. A small outside lavatory is located on the corner of the barn.
