Description

The health centre's external walls have brown steel cladding and regular rows of rectangular windows at each floor. Even if the building complex is bigger and more imposing than anything else in the immediate surroundings, this is softened by the birch trees along the main road and the rise of the terrain on the north eastern side where the main entrance is at first floor level if compared to the view from the main road.

Sonjatun's original concept was that all health services could be accessed at one location. The facilities included a cottage hospital with a maternity ward and wards for patients with longer recovery periods
extended GP's surgery
dental services
benefits office and services for young people with special learning related needs.
