Description

Inside the church the choir and a sacristy on either side take up the same breadth of space as the church nave. The barrel vault over the mid-section of the church nave extends into the choir section. In this clean-lined main feature there are minor details set in as effective contrasts in the joinery details and furnishings, in the baroque, somewhat high-flown shapes dating from around 1700. The historical style elements are modified, as was usual in architecture from the early decades of the twentieth century.

The furnishings and interior details have painted colours, with some blue marbling, in effective contrast with the panelling on the walls, which are stained grey-brown, probably to give the effect of an ageing patina.
