Description

The 1½ storey farmhouse is symmetrical around the central entrance area with a living room on each side. The house has white board on board wooden cladding, empire-style windows with green surrounds and a slate roof.

Originally the house had just two rooms and a sleeping area in the attic. By 1880 it had been extended lengthways to be about 12m long and at the back it got a lean-to which in 1912 was replaced with a 1½ storey log extension. The house now has two living rooms, a hallway, a bedroom, a kitchen, a larder and a back entrance on the ground floor. Upstairs there are five bedrooms and a corridor. When a new generation took over the farm the old couple would move into the downstairs bedroom and the adjacent living room.
