Fugløykalven Light Station is situated north of Fugløya and is the northernmost point in the county of Troms. Built in 1916 on a tall islet with steep rocky sides, the light stations signals the approach into coastal waters. The lighthouse is a low octagonal concrete tower of the same design as Sula Light Station in Sør-Trøndelag and is 8.5m tall, or otherwise can be said to reach 42m above sea level. The keeper's cottage, the outbuildings, the lighthouse and tall wooden fences form a sheltered courtyard. All are painted white with the exception of the the closed railings of the lighthouse gallery and the lantern roof which are red. A path and a telpherage lead down to the boathouse and the steep concrete landing place.

In 1999 Fugløykalven Light Station was given protected status in accordance with the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Act. The listing includes: the lighthouse, the keeper's cottage, two outbuildings, the boathouse and the whole islet.
