"A/S Sydvaranger - bygninger i sentrum" (4 of 5)
Description
The two garage buildings down in the centre were designed by Blakstad and Munthe Kaas. Both buildings are rectangular in shape, two storeys high and topped off with a slate-tiled hipped roof. The garage and workshop stand on a whitewashed foundation wall and the upper storey is clad with red-painted horizontal panelling.
One of these buildings has a bay that stretches from the hillside and is topped off with a tower roof, and just to the left of the bay there is an entrance section with a gently-sloping arch that hugs the wall. These two features give the building an almost medieval appearance.
