Description

In the farm-yard, facing south towards the river, lies a traditional storehouse, a timber building set up in hewn timbers by two Finnish woodworkers. The storehouse is single-storey with a loft, which juts out over the entrance. There are interior stairs between the two floors. The storehouse stands on a sloping terrain, with foundations of stone and tree stumps as appropriate. The loft is supported by strong beams inserted into the timberwork of the two short walls.
