"Gildeskål prestegård" (3 of 3)
Description
In older photographs, one can see a lush garden on the west side of the long dwelling house. A garden with trees, bushes and perennials, enclosed in part by stones and in part by a picket fence. This garden is now partially gone. The lovely details on the panelling of the dwelling house, window frames and cogging joint posts are also gone. Most of the elements of the building that were worthy of preservation, and its distinctive features, were lost during a "restoration" done in the 1970s.
