The Ceramic Tower and The Glassworks have special public rooms - both outside and in. The summer café at Vikten is part of the site and is an important part of all that is on offer during the summer season.

The interior bears traces of imagination, creative ability, solid local materials and recycling. The floors are covered with slate flagstones, the firewall behind the wood stove is built of hand-selected stone from the area nearby, and parts of the timberwork were discovered as driftwood on the beach or from old houses that were pulled down.
