Visitors are able to wander around the site. Naturally sculptured stones creates a protective wall against the endless wash of the sea and makes it possible for visitors to view the site from all sides, even on the stormiest days. These special stones, which have been incorporated into the architecture in a masterly fashion, have been sculptured by stones, gravel and sand washed in and out by the waves on the shoreline.

For those wishing to stretch their legs, there are several footpaths from The Glassworks around the locality. The landscape here has been formed over millions of years. In particular, there have been glacial erosions in the course of several ice ages and subsequent thawing that have affected the landscape and left characteristic formations in their wake.
