"Paaljorden" (3 of 5)
Description
Two small livestock turf huts are located further in on the river terrace, almost in line with the dwelling house. These turf huts were built in the 1930s and have a rectangular shape, traditionally constructed of post and beams. Internally it is clad with boards and logs that originated from an older dwelling house and a barn that stood on the farm. The other is clad internally with continuous or chopped birch logs, which was typical for this type of structure. Today it is still used to house the sheep on the farm.
