Description

A cluster of three buildings with pyramidal roofs has a prominent position in the wide open landscape of Kautokeino, it is what once was the Kautokeino Mountain Lodge. Situated on a hill above the main road RV93 it overlooks the supermarket and the schools and otherwise enjoys views in all directions.

All the way around each of the three buildings runs a site-cast concrete plinth ending below the windows, which also run continuously below the eaves of the bold pointed roofs. The load bearing constructions are in wood and originally the interiors and furniture were all pine.
