Description

The building has an overall wooden structure with laminated wooden beams that support the roof. Externally the walls are clad with vertical wooden panelling that is treated with iron vitriol. This type of finish provides the wall with a nice grey colour tone. Earthen mounds are situated alongside the walls facing the river. On the way towards the entrance, one passes the remnants of a turf hut with an exposed fireplace. An earthen wall is drawn upwards alongside the wall of the museum building. The large roof is the most characteristic aspect of the building, which is covered with tarred wooden planks.
