Description

In no other Norwegian county were there established as many fishermen's cooperatives as in Finnmark during the early years after WW2. The total of such organisations was at one point 50 and only a few were pre-war. The leading force in this development was Kristian Berg, a cooperative movement consultant and former member of parliament based in Tromsø. Among his staff was the technician Ludv. Nicolaisen, whose name appears on most of the required construction drawings from this period.
