The dwelling house is made of cogging jointed timber and clad with vertical panelling. The building has a central corridor plan, but the old main entrance that overlooked the street was eventually closed. As a consequence, the only remaining entrance was the one overlooking the yard. It is a one-and-a-half-storied house, and the small rectangular windows, which can be seen in similar houses in Vadsø, provide natural light to the rooms in the loft.
