"Esbensengården på Bakken" (3 of 3)
Description
The wide central dormer on the main façade is south facing, overlooking the street Nyborgvei and the sea. It bestows the building with a distinctive Swiss style quality - something that is emphasised by the T-post windows and the jigsaw detailing on the gables and on the roof's ridge moulding. The building has a large projecting slate covered saddle roof, which was also a common feature during the last part of the 19th century.
