The museum building’s area of use extends over 1350 m² and three floors. The main entrance and foyer are at ground level, together with the reception area and museum shop, auditorium and café, which has an outdoor terrace under the overhang towards Alstahaugvågen. The whole of the next floor up is used for exhibitions. A library, meeting room and offices are housed on the small top floor under the arched roof.
