"Ørnes handelssted" (2 of 5)
Description
Older photographs indicate that the buildings were situated into two main groups. The wharf warehouses were densely arranged with the gables facing the sea, outermost on the foreland. The dwelling house was arranged around an open yard, with a large and long dwelling house facing the south. These structures had a view of the small inlet and the boathouse. Today the surrounding area is characterised by a hotel and a car park.
